The Area Meeting consists of 5 Local Meetings across Mid-Wales. It includes the first Meeting House to be built in Wales (in 1700, at Dolobran).
Quaker meetings offer a place where people can find a real sense of community and a chance to continue their spiritual journey, exploring beliefs, values and ideas in an unjudgemental way. Many Quakers describe it as a spiritual home – a place of deep connections; a group of people bound together by an awareness of the sacred in all things and a desire to change the world for the better.
You will find useful information about individual Local Meetings on this site, information about Meeting for Worship, news of events and details of our peace education work. Whether you’re new to the Religious Society of Friends or already a Member or Attender you would be very welcome to attend any of our Local Meetings.
Our Area Meeting is part of Britain Yearly Meeting and of Meeting of Friends in Wales.
Quakers say:
There is something sacred in all people
All people are equal before God
